Fire Protection for Steel Structure Buildings

Spray applied cementitious fireproofing is specified by architects and favored by applicators to protect a buildings structural steel from failure in the event of fire. The materials we supply are designed to meet the strict building codes and insurance industry specifications for today’s building structures.

Recognized worldwide for their in-place performance and superior durability, the cementitious fireproofing products we use can be found in all types of buildings including:

Intumescent fireproofing
Intumescent mastic coatings are fire retardants designed for both interior and exterior application to structural steel, concrete, and other construction materials.

The function of fire retardant coatings is to protect the surfaces, being applied to, from failure in the event of a fire.

Air Barrier Systems
Air barriers are permeable or impermeable membranes that keeps moisture out of the building envelope.

The air barrier system is the primary air enclosure boundary that separates indoor (conditioned) air and outdoor (unconditioned) air. We use top of the line products to eliminate air and water penetration of the building envelope in conditions ranging from everyday weather to the drenching rains and winds of a hurricane.

Air barrier systems keep outside air out of the building enclosure or inside air out of the building enclosure depending on climate or configuration. Sometimes, air barrier systems do both.
EIFS Systems
EIFS Systems image
Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) offer continuous insulation by design, allowing architects the design flexibility and aesthetics they require, while helping to meet the new energy codes. EIFS are continuous insulation.

According to the definitions of the International Building Code and ASTM International, an Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) is a non load-bearing, exterior wall cladding system that consists of an insulation board attached either adhesively or mechanically, or both, to the substrate; an integrally reinforced base coat; and a textured protective finish coat.
Exterior coatings
EIFS (see above) and Stucco

Stucco or render is a construction material made of aggregates, a binder, and water. Stucco is applied wet and hardens to a very dense solid.

It is used as a decorative coating for walls and ceilings, exterior walls, and as a sculptural and artistic material in architecture. Stucco can be applied on construction materials such as metal, expanded metal lath, concrete, cinder block, or clay brick and adobe for decorative and structural purposes.
Venetian plaster
Venetian plaster is a wall and ceiling finish consisting of plaster mixed with marble dust, applied with a spatula or trowel in thin, multiple layers, which are then burnished to create a smooth surface with the illusion of depth and texture. Venetian plaster techniques include marmorino, scagliola, and sgraffito.
Thermal insulation
Soundproofing & thermal control

K-13 Thermal Soundproofing Insulation reduces excessive noise often present in modern design trends, significantly improving ambient sound quality and speech intelligibility.

K-13 Thermal Control is sprayed-in-place, filling cracks, seams, and voids to form a Monolithic coating over the substrate helping to reduce air infiltration.
Acoustical insulation
BASWA PHON

Baswa Phon is an acoustical plaster system that seamlessly integrates into any ceiling or wall to absorb sound and create an acoustically comfortable space that promotes wellbeing.
Building caulking
Used as a sealant to seal joints between heterogeneous materials in many kinds of construction.
